We are Now in the Age of Recording and Editing DTT Programs

Leading up to the termination of analog broadcasting in 2012 in Japan, related technologies have developed rapidly, and amongst them were the improvements in PC peripheral devices for digital terrestrial TV recording, specifically to provide more features and better operational stability. When development started, we encountered usability problems like not being able to edit DTT broadcasts recorded on hard drives, failure to transfer program data to BDs, and even when ‘editing’ was successful, only the edited information was saved without changing the total capacity. While we were developing the drives for the new age, new software developments, OS upgrades, and other advances that were conducive to a comprehensive improvement of the PC environment, as well as improvements in software, made significant progress---a world of recording and editing high-definition broadcasts on PCs and burning them to BDs had finally become reality. Record high-definition programs on your computer, edit them on your familiar, easy-to-operate PC environment, and create your own library by saving them to blu-ray disks. We hope you take this opportunity to build a PC that can record digital TV programs by incorporating our BD writer drive. Pioneer drives have a good reputation for their quietness, dust-proofing, and recording quality. The operating sound of the drive when playing the recorded blu-ray disk is not distracting. Even if the disk is dusty or dirty, our drives, while limiting retries during playback, use the “Power Read” function that supports smooth playback without stopping the video. Our drives are dedicated to our customers’ comfortable enjoyment of recorded programs.

Note: Before purchase, please check the operating requirements and specifications of the digital TV recording tuner and capture card. Some products do not support copying to blu-ray disks or have limitations on what Operating Systems that they run on. For details including copyright information, please inquire with the device manufacturer.
