We at Towada Pioneer have a keen eye for the highest quality, and produce optical disk drives, car navigation systems, optical pick-ups for car audios and other cutting-edge products created by the Pioneer Group. Drives for personal computers are produced at Towada Pioneer while establishing the manufacturing techniques and mass production know-how for technical transfer to the Pioneer Dongguan Plant in China. BDR-203 is slated for production at Towada Pioneer, where we manufacture products with the utmost prudence and care. We proudly present the drives from Towada to our customers worldwide.

We are somewhat of a known figure in the area of manufacturing. In 2008, we were awarded the Visual Management Prize with a record high score from the Central Japan Industries Association (management consulting public-service corporation) as a plant realizing a superior corporate structure. Today, we welcome many visitors to whom we introduce practical management methods and hold seminars for as part of our contribution to benefit the people involved in Japanese manufacturing. These efforts have been introduced a number of times on manufacturing and production control related magazines.

Recently, we have been featured on a magazine as a “Model plant with enhanced transparency,” and we strive to constantly improve on our current achievements on our way towards higher goals.

Care for our products and workers
Optical pick-up production require a clean room, free of dust and other particles, and workers wear designated work wear and mask to prevent contamination. In addition, the automated control of humidity provides for a favorable production environment.

High quality is ensured by skilled workers who have undergone our thorough educational training programs.

At Pioneer’s domestic production bases, we have developed and introduced real-time quality monitoring systems in order to achieve high-quality production. By monitoring quality anomaly detection and prediction real-time, early action can be carried out on the production lines. Furthermore, the manufacturing process is designed with high technological aptitude, guaranteeing quality.
