Concerts entitled "Listen through the Body"

In-house movie showing held in SingaporeThe members of the Community Service Committee at PAC conducted an in-house movie showing for the second time, in a conference room in their office. The 20 students and teachers of the school for the deaf were invited to the viewing of the movie, "Fantastic 4", in the conference room where 20 special vibrating chairs were installed. Sweets and coffee were served during the event, with drawing for gifts held at the end, which excited the children with pleasure. Children were given sweets and other mementos to take home with them and they all went home with a big satisfying smile on their faces.


Thailand

Our local production subsidiary in Thailand, PTM, donated daily supplies to residents of the Ayutthaya district, who suffered in the flooding.


Hong Kong

PHK, a sales company in Hong Kong, was awarded the gCaring Company 2005/06h logo by HKCSS (Hong Kong Council of Social Service) in February 2006. With a mission of promoting the improvement of social welfare services, facilitating agencies to better serve the community, and advocating for equality, justice, social integration and a caring society, HKCSS offers a wide range of public-welfare services.
The recent award was a result of the recognition of PHKfs firm adherence to social contributions and environmental protection in its daily marketing activities, such as conducting an innovative trade-in program in which the company donates products to charitable organizations collected from customers during promotional campaigns for DVD recorders and plasma televisions. PHK has also made donations to victims of SARS and the Sumatra tsunami through the Red Cross, and donations of DVD writers, plasma televisions, and other electronics to schools and social welfare facilities in Hong Kong.


China

Employees at Chinese affiliate MND have paid a visit to a welfare facility for children. They are trying to strengthen relations with children through singing and talking, and foster exchanges with local communities.
