Pioneer Harmonic Choir
Pioneer Harmonic Choir is an amateur organization voluntarily run by its members, most of whom are employees of Pioneer, and their family members and friends. Our activities basically center on self-produced amateur concerts called "Pioneer Muse Concerts" with the Pioneer Symphony Orchestra. The choir has also held joint concerts with professional orchestaras including the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. In addtion, the choir performed the world's first performance of the opera "Kaguya-hime"produced by Hideaki Hirai. It has also voluntarily participated in opera concerts as a part of a festival hosted by Meguro Ward, where Pioneer headquarters is located, and "Listen through the body"concerts for the hearing impaired. The choir places importance on activities to be a good corporate citizen and to take part in a wide range of performance activities.
Pioneer Symphony Orchestra
Pioneer Symphony Orchestra is an amateur orchestra and the majority of its members are employees of Pioneer. The orchestra engages in activities in accordance with the corporate philosophy, "Move the Heart and Touch the Soul" with delight. The orchestra always aims at concerts where the enthusiasm of the audience is conveyed to the stage and turned into energy for the members of the orchestra and envelops the hall entirely with electricity.
Support for Musical Activities
We support the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, the NHK Symphony Orchestra, and other major music organizations in Japan.
