Monozukuri Workshop

"Monozukuri Workshops (Hands-on Crafts Programs)" are held by corporate groups in order to convey the technologies of creation to the next generation and offer an opportunity to experience the pleasure of creating first hand.

Headquarters

A program is held periodically for primary school students to learn about the mechanism of emitting sounds and to create speakers made of paper. In the past we dispatched our personnel to primary schools in our local area to implement this program. The geographical area subject to this program, however has been broadened since 2007 in order to make this program available to many more children.

Tohoku Pioneer Corporation

A program for creating speakers the size of a thumb nail was provided to primary school students in the local area. Children even managed to solder on components under the supervision of our staff.

Labor Union

A program offering classes to teach the assembly of DVD players has been provided. Children are taught to assemble DVD players on their own using an electrical screwdriver and by referring to a manual. This program is intended to convey the pleasure of creating they experience their astonishment when they view images displayed by DVD players they assembled themselves.

Products designers, engineers, working at companies of the Pioneer Group, are assigned as lecturers to speak to secondary school students. Pioneer intends to continue supporting the program in the future.

Juridical Foundation, Society for the Advancement of Musical Appreciation

This foundation is the only charitable organization involved in music appreciation education under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. It started out as the Pioneer Society for the Advancement of Musical Appreciation. It has developed into a foundation to better contribute to society, and continues its efforts to encourage children who will forge the future to develop their aptitudes through listening to music, backed by the enthusiastic support of Pioneer Corp.
We encourage teachers to take advantage of programs offered by the foundation. They include a children's essay contest, rental of the Matsumoto Memorial Hall, and other activities for the general public as well.

Donations to Education-related foundation

We carry out activities closely related to classrooms, such as commemorative events at universities, opening facilities for high schools and our local community, and cooperation in the construction of schools for Japanese kids living abroad
